KREAM is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that ordering cannabis online should be straightforward whether you use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, prefer high-contrast displays, or have any other accessibility need.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines cover four core principles: perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
We also work to comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR).
What we have done
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy.
- Visible focus indicators for keyboard users.
- Alt text on meaningful images; decorative images marked accordingly.
- Sufficient colour contrast for body text.
- A “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page for screen reader users.
- ARIA labels on interactive elements (navigation, the age confirmation dialog, and form controls).
- Forms with associated labels and clear error messages.
Known limitations
We are honest about where we still have work to do. Items currently being addressed:
- Some product cards use emoji as a placeholder image; we are replacing these with real product photos that include descriptive alt text.
- The age confirmation dialog needs improved focus trapping and a more useful “Exit” destination.
- The Reps map (Leaflet) is partially keyboard-navigable; we provide the same coverage information in plain text below the map for users who prefer to skip it.
Compatible technology
Our site is designed to work with current versions of:
- Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge browsers.
- VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), TalkBack (Android), NVDA, and JAWS screen readers.
- Keyboard-only navigation.
Older browsers (Internet Explorer, very old versions of Safari/Chrome) may not render the site correctly.

Changes to this statement
We will update this statement as we improve our website. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes.
This Accessibility Statement is a template. Once your developer has confirmed which WCAG criteria the site actually passes (run an audit with Axe DevTools or Lighthouse), update the “What we have done” and “Known limitations” sections to reflect reality. Misrepresenting accessibility conformance can create legal exposure under AODA.
